IPTV subscription guides

Ten guides, each answering one question UK households ask before or after buying a pass: how to get it on a particular screen, what it costs, what is on it, and what happens when the end date comes round. All of them were checked on 5 November 2026.

Reading paths

Where to start

Every guide stands on its own. These four paths group them by where you are, from comparing offers to the end date.

Worth remembering

Figures that come back from guide to guide

Four numbers you will meet again and again, worked out from the passes on sale and what a 4K picture needs.

25 Mb/s

The steady speed to allow for every screen showing 4K, measured on the device doing the playing. Full HD gets by on about 10.

Seven days

How far ahead the guide loaded by the Xtream login reaches, and roughly how far back catch-up goes on the channels that have it.

13p a day

The daily cost of Pass 12: £49 once, £4.08 a month.

2 minutes

The gap between payment and the message carrying your login, whatever the hour.

Method

How these guides are written

Each guide begins with a question people in Britain type into a search engine about an IPTV subscription, and sticks to it. When a point belongs to another guide, we link across instead of repeating it.

Menus are written up as they look on the devices at the time of writing. If a manufacturer moves a setting, we rewrite that paragraph and update the date shown under the guide’s title. Prices and dates are calculated from the passes on sale, never typed in by hand, so no guide can quote a figure the order button disagrees with.

We name devices and player apps because you need them to get set up, but never channels, competitions or streaming brands, and each app belongs to its maker. For the basics on any device, begin with the setup page. Seen a menu that no longer matches your screen? Let us know through the contact page and we will correct the guide.

  • One question per guide
  • Menus checked on real devices
  • Figures calculated from the passes on sale
  • UK time and pounds all the way through
  • A check date on every guide

Your pass, ready to watch 2 minutes after payment

Read the guide for your screen, then choose a length. You pay once, the end date is in writing, and a login that never plays at home is refunded within 7 days.
